We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior practitioner or a third in charge/room leader who is looking to take a step up into management to join our outstanding rural setting in the lovely village of Great Witley.
You will support the manager to provide outstanding childcare and education for children aged 2 – 4 years, ensuring that social, emotional and mental health and intellectual needs are met so that each child reaches his or her full potential.
This is a term time only position. Hours to be worked presently are between 7.30 – 3.45. Please note we are a pack away setting operating in a village hall, open 4 days a week.
Support the manager in the daily running and administration of the setting to provide outstanding childcare and education. To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, health & safety risk assessments including daily checklists.
You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum, Safeguarding and children’s development. Experience of working with SEN would be desirable.
You will be able to build up relationships with staff, other professionals, parents and children.
You can support and promote equality and diversity throughout.
You will have excellent verbal and communication skills so you can communicate effectively both internally and externally. Be able to write reports and keep clear and accurate records.
You will possess excellent organisational skills
You will supervise planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere
You will act as a key person to a group of children
Ensure that Staff adhere to and understand all setting policy and procedures
Maintain staff ratios
Continue to review practice and reflect and develop in a managed format
Communicating with the manager on the progress and outcomes of the children
Be able to lead and promote outstanding practice
Be approachable, confident and caring with a passion for working with children

Empower the staff to deliver rich learning opportunities for all children through unique and exciting environments.
Assist with the recruitment and induction of new staff members and ongoing supervision
Assist in the support, training and appraising of staff
Monitor training and developing team work
Assist in the organisation of Staff meetings
Assist the manager to ensure occupancy targets are hit and maintained at all times
Undertake other duties as may be requested from time to time by the manager
Level 3 Early Years or higher with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will have leadership and management experience and be an inspirational team leader who can lead and motivate our team
Current Paediatric First Aid
An interest in outdoor learning with possible Forest School Qualification
